HI!! Its been a while, well maybe 2 weeks. Last week I was still on a break from our anniversary trip and the week prior we were in Orlando for our anniversary. I put blogging on hold so that I could prepare for our trip and now I’M BACK!! I’ll share more about our trip in an upcoming post. Today is Monday so that meals, Meal Share Monday!! I made this recipe a few weeks ago and its from Joanna Gaines latest cookbook, Magnolia Table Volume 2. If you haven’t checked out her book, I highly recommend you do. There are so many great recipes that I plan to try.…

Me Time
Me Time…what’s that? As a mom sometimes it’s hard to carve out a little “me time” and if you are able to find time for yourself, their may be some guilt that comes along with that time. Normally when I carve out some time for myself it’s usually me working out. The past two days have been a little different. Yesterday I went to get my hair cut and colored and today I went to get my eyebrows arched. Since Antavis worked sort of a split shift and came home for a few hours right before I was heading to my appointment, I didn’t rush to get back home. So…

Blogging As A Career
So what’s my goal for this blog. To be honest my goal is to make a career out of blogging. I want to be a full-time successful lifestyle and fitness blogger! WOW, that felt good to say. Not only say it but say it “publicly”. I’ve always known that I wanted to be a blogger and I’ve shared it with Antavis and maybe a few friends but I’ve never really gave it a true shot. This is what I’m doing now. Like I mentioned in my first post, this blog will evolve along with me but my goal now is to just keep posting. Whatever’s on my heart, just share…

Shrimp Pad Thai Noodle Bowl
Last week we introduced Meal Share Monday. Today we have another recipe and a new name, lol. I did say things could change and evolve along with me. So the new name is Made it Monday! I found this recipe in the Summer 2020 edition of Oxygen Magazine. I went to the bookstore a few weeks ago in which that’s something I hadn’t done in a long time. Amiyah and I used to go to the bookstore a lot and we could spend hours there. She loves looking at the new books because she’s a book worm. I like looking at all the magazines and looking at the business books…

15 Minute Workout
So really how effective can a 15 minute workout really be? All though I don’t know the science behind that answer, what I do know, is that it can do wonders for me! With Covid still much a part of our daily lives and we may be spending more time with our immediate family members, particularly children then normal, 15 minutes can be just what we need to recharge our batteries. I love my girls to death but we DO need time apart from each other(Amiyah I know you’re reading this, Love you). Luna is at a stage where she’s learning how to communicate and a lot of time that…

Kitchen Reorganization Pt.2
Today was day 2 of our kitchen reorg and we made a trip to Charlotte. First stop was to Ikea and then to The Container Store. To say the least it was another exhausting day. Back it up, our actual first stop was to T.J. Maxx because I had to use the restroom and last time we visited Ikea there was a long line out the door. It must have been fate that we made a pit stop to T.J. Maxx because I found these two RGI baskets for only $12.99 each. I wanted some baskets to go at the bottom of our pantry which is our biggest reorg of…

Kitchen Reorganization Pt.1
We’ve been in our current home for about a year and a half and its been full speed ahead ever since. I was about 5 months pregnant when we moved into our home, still trying to sell our old home (which I signed the papers the day prior to Luna arriving). So needless to say we haven’t taken the time to organize how we’d like. Luna is now one years old and a busy toddler. Antavis works full time, I’m trying to run a business so we are always on the go! Which leads us to the organized chaos that we’ve created. Recently I’ve become obsessed with organization accounts on…

Peloton After Dark
So when’s the perfect time to workout? Ideally I’d love to get up at 5AM, workout, meditate, read a daily devotion, journal, have a cup of green tea with a splash of lemon, all before the house gets moving. That sounds like the “perfect” start to a day but who am I kidding, I am NOT a morning person and I’m learning that things will never be “perfect”. Go figure, I used to get up around 3:30AM so that I could coach at Orangetheory just last year. That was only so that I could have the rest of the day to do what I wanted. Now I’m lucky if I’m…

I Bought Bowls Today
I went to Publix today to pick up a few things for a new recipe that I wanted to try. Got home to prepare the meal and realized that I left off an important ingredient from the recipe. Thankfully Publix is less than 5 miles from me so I made another quick trip, only this time it wasn’t as quick because I got distracted by bowls and plates. I was making a Shrimp Pad Thai and did a quick Google search while in my driveway on how I might want to plate the dish. I realized that chopsticks would be perfect. Once I arrived at Publix, I went to the…

Meal Share Monday
It’s me AGAIN…first day blogging and you get two post in one day. One of the things I mentioned in my first post was that I LOVE to cook and lets not forget hate cleaning dishes. I love trying new recipes. If magazines weren’t so expensive I probably would buy every magazine, even if I only intended to make one recipe. I made an amazing salad today and I don’t recall how I stumbled upon this recipe but it was one of the 80 internet tabs that I have open on my phone. I saw it right before I headed to the grocery store on Sunday. I decided to add…
