Cheat Day|W1D6

The day has FINALLY come, CHEAT DAY! We have worked hard over the past few days to eat right and stay on track and now its time to treat ourselves! We originally planned to have our cheat meal on Saturday and go on a day date but we are planning to do a long run on Saturday so we needed the fuel.

We recently discovered a delicious Mediterranean restaurant not far from Antavis’ job and it’s our new favorite, yet healthy place to eat. I mean minus the feta fries but everything else seems so fresh and delicious. The place is called Kairos Mediterranean and their falafels are AMAZING!! When we first had them we thought from the looks they might be dry but NO! The outside is nice and crispy and the center is moist and delicious!

So according to the coaches in the 8 week challenge group we are supposed to have our cheat meal in one setting. Well…we’re trying to stay away from dairy so we weren’t going to have the Greek Yogurt at Kairos. So the only thing to do was to make a dash to Chick-fil-A as soon as we were done eating. They had just added a brownie to their menu on Monday and I was so bummed when I heard about it over weekend.

Unfortunately they didn’t warm up the brownie so we had to wait until we got home to try it because I mean who eats a room temperature brownie? Not me!! It was definitely worth the wait. It had chocolate chips in it and once warm it was so moist and delicious! The only thing missing was the ice cream, caramel and walnuts and it might be as good as TGIFriday’s Brownie Obsession!

I’d say we did pretty good with the choices we made for our cheat meal. It was so nice to have some added flavor to our meal but we didn’t go into a food coma. We wanted to eat healthyish, yet still have a dessert. We decided to switch the day of our cheat meal right before I was about to eat my second meal of the day so I decided to skip it and just have my cheat meal. Today was definitely a great day as far as workout, energy and being optimistic about the process.

Today’s Workout:

  • 45 min Bike Bootcamp: Full Body
  • 10 min Warm up Run
  • 30 min E2M Circuit

I did another midday workout, right before I opened my window and it was great. I tried Jess Sims 45 min Bike Bootcamp and it was AMAZING! Jess is a natural on the bike. The weight workout off the bike was tough and I LOVED it! I’m looking forward to them adding more Bike Bootcamp classes.

Today was a circuit day according to E2M’s calendar so since we both hadn’t done the circuit workout, we had to get it done late. Once Luna went to bed we put on our workout clothes and got it done! #swolemates ~Selena
