Completed My 400th Peloton Ride|W1D5
Today was a BIG milestone for me. I completed my 400th Peloton ride. Even though I’ve had the bike since 2016, I started working at Orangetheory in March of 2017. I coached there until February 2019 and during that time I only took a handful of rides. We got the Peloton Tread+ in January 2019 so once I had Luna I was using the tread more than the bike. I haven’t been riding consistently until this year.
Needless to say I’m proud of myself for reaching this milestone. Every time I get on the bike though I realize that we need to recalibrate out bike because it’s so hard to pedal. During our visit to The Container Store last month, we stopped by the Peloton store and chatted with the staff and one of the associates told us that we definitely need to calibrate our bike. Peloton sent us the kit a few months ago, we just need to do it.
On to my 8 week challenge update, today instead of working out at the crack of dawn I decided to workout midday so that I could eat immediately afterwards and not feel weak. My plan was to do a 30 minute ride and to take one of the new 30 minute bike boot camp classes. My legs felt like jello after my 400th class so I decided to just do a 20 min run to flush out my legs some. I definitely felt better doing a midday workout compared to an early morning workout.
Every Thursday during the 8 week challenge we’ll receive our new meal plan. We were so excited to see fruit listed on the plan for next week. I’m hoping with the added fruit I’ll have a little more energy to push through my workouts and I can complete them again in the morning. I love doing fasted cardio!
Today’s Workout:
- 30 min XOXO, Cody Ride
- 5 min Cool Down Ride
- 20 min R&B Run
- 15 min Core Strength
- 10 min Glutes & Legs Strength
- 15 min Full Body Stretch
Today’s workout seemed like a lot but I split up my workout. I did the core, strength and stretch workouts in the evening. So far I’m feeling good about the program. We did realize we need to jazz up our meals for next week so we don’t feel as though we’re trying to force down 99% lean ground turkey and dry salmon.
Even though I said I wasn’t going to get on the scale again until Monday morning, I had a really good bowel movement(TMI) this morning so I decided to hop on the scale. I was presently surprised to see 163.5. Remember I started off weighing 178.7. This was the morning of day 4. That definitely is motivation for me to not pig out for my cheat meal. I don’t want to ruin my progress.
I can’t close this post without giving a special shout out to Amiyah who with the help of Antavis, got me balloons to celebrate ride #400. She also made the sign too! It definitely made my heart happy! ~Selena
